Beneath the Summer Sun is well-written and engaging. I appreciate this author’s writing style (makes for an easy and enjoyable novel). I was drawn in right away and my attention was held until the end of the book. The story contains lovely characters that are nicely constructed and develop over the course of the book/5(24). All Summer in a Day is alluded to in a description of main character Oscar Wao, from Junot Díaz's The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao. "Sucks a lot to be left out of adolescence, sort of like getting locked in the closet on Venus when the sun appears for the first time in a hundred years."Author: Ray Bradbury.

“Summer Sun Risin’ is a lively picture book that captures the sights, sounds and activities of an African-American boy’s day on his parent’s farm. Author W. Nikola-Lisa manages to cover a lot of ground in a small amount of space.   Warmer temperatures and long, sunny days call for choosing a new lineup of books to peruse on the beach or by the pool. Whether you’re looking for a celebrity chef’s tell-all or a highly readable classic, these seven books will add drama, romance, and adventure to any sleepy summer .

Second, I’m happy to announce that Midnight Sun is finally (very close to) ready! And will be in bookstores on August 4 th. I hope this announcement doesn’t seem ill-timed; I really considered delaying the release until the world was back to normal. However, 1) who knows when that will be? And 2) you guys have waited long enough. Voyage of a Summer Sun. Canoeing the Columbia River. Robin Cody. Northwest Reprints. 6 × 9 inches. Illustrations. pages.
